i dont know if this is already fixed but i just realized if you cant break blocks without claiming them how are new players supposed to make money that way? firefly can you fix this

This seems to me, intentional. Most likely a base protocol to curb block-spamming. Shame to see directionless alterations on beautiful landscapes.

Don't worry, it is intentional. New players can still discover blocks just by digging them, they just don't destroy the blocks.

Yes, it is intentional. You are not supposed to be able to mine blocks outside of your home. You are only able to unlock that block if you don't already have it. If this was not the case, then any random troll would be able to go around making the land look like his own personal hell, or worse.

Not to worry! You can still discover materials. The selection box still turns yellow. Your shovel still makes sounds. You still get coins.
