During my most recent livestream we discussed the idea of relaxing the placement restrictions of devices (like turrets, bombs and web traps). The issue we're trying to solve is that it's currently impossible to place web traps as a scout when a builder is placing turrets everywhere. After a bit of brainstorming my best suggestion is to keep the current minimal distance between devices, but only make it count between the same type of device. So turrets would still need to be the same distance apart as they are now, but you could place web traps and other things in-between. This allows scouts to use web traps everywhere. And two or more builders can work together with turrets, bombs and dispensers. This is exactly the kind of cooperation I want to encourage! After thinking it over a bit more the only downside I see is that spring (trampoline) griefing will be much easier. But I don't want to let that ruin an otherwise perfectly good gameplay improvement. Feedback—both positive and negative—is welcome on the idea. I think I could roll this out rather quickly if everyone is on board.

I think the idea is a good one, so I vote we just roll it out, and if to many issues pop up we just revert back to the current version.

I am loving the ability to place turrets next to bombs and everything else of the place able items! images https://imgur.com/a/YZAsE0I I did notice I can only repair / upgrade one item at a time with the builder hammer. Just double checking if this is intended, since I can hit more then one creature at a time with the hammer.

@Loki The Witful: Thanks for testing, glad you like it! You're right the hammer only upgrades one device at a time. That's intended, but I'm open to the idea of it hitting multiple devices at once. Does anyone else have strong opinions on this?
