Drats. Well, we gave the obvious issue a shot. Sorry I couldn't help any further; any other solutions may be a bit more involved, and I certainly don't want to be the person that gives you advice that ends up causing more problems or damaging your laptop :( If you haven't already, I would try Googling the specific error message you are receiving and finding out what others have done when they have run into this issue. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get it sorted :)
