As for post #30 I'm initially going for option C: every new player is automatically friends with me and gets friend requests from all GMs. This way they can get up to speed with friend requests and friends from the get-go. And they don't get too many FRs to start off.

One more thing that I thought of: I don't want to enforce a strict social code or anything for GMs—I'm trusting you all on being polite and representative to new players. I might read through GM chat messages from time to time to make sure you're not dissing me or my game behind my back, just so you know :)
