@ColtsWalker, I know attacked sounds dramatic, but I mean it as in my very nature had been attacked or judged because I was at that place wrongfully, when I, in fact, I did nothing wrong. That is what I mean, sometimes I can't find the right words to use and that is why I am slow to respond. Stan ran away and went offline when I started to answer his questions instead of staying to hear my side of the story. In any case, I still did nothing wrong because there is no rule to say that I could not continually hang around his claim as much as I like but I'm not that kind of guy and I want it known to all that I'm not that kind of person. Now that I know exactly where Stans's claim is I will actually steer clear of it from now on. There is plenty of hunting territory for everyone and I don't have a problem with anyone else's claims. Just don't judge me before you think about what you are saying and give me a chance to answer. So here you go, Stan, or anyone else that wants to claim near me or if I want to claim next to you. I don't have a problem with that at all. There is no ownership of unclaimed lands and claimed lands are owned by the claimer but you do not own the unclaimed lands next to the owned ones. Have we got that straight. Now I apologize if I have seemed overly dramatic, @Ruan4K, you got it, it's simple really. That is all I have to say on the matter. I'm taking the screenshot down now.

Ruan4K summarized it nicely: if a land isn't claimed, you may claim it. I'll admit that hunting grounds are special because you "mentally claim" an area without in-game claiming it. That is troublesome since nobody can force other players to live by anyone else's made-up rules. We've been in this situation before in a different context. My stance is currently to objectively let the game rules dictate what is allowed. Unclaimed land? You can take it. Claimed land? Impossible to take it. I'll leave it up to the players themselves as to how far they want to abide the imaginary rules others set out for them. This policy prevents me from becoming a judge ruling over the entire game world. I believe this objective, technological solution is far preferable over my eventually fallible human judgement. If this situation escalates into a major problem I see one more option: letting players toggle creature spawns on or off per claimed land. It won't be pretty, but it'd be a solution. You could claim hunting grounds and still use them as such. Maybe this is the birth of a great new game feature.

As The Hunter in this game, I have something to say on this subject... @FF, check your logs and old feature requests... 1) toggle spawn on claimed land is an exploit waiting to happen 2) claims in hunting grounds is a real problem, OTOH, it still may not warrant a solution yet My previous suggestion still holds, a new 'reserved' state that prevents a claim/build, but allows creature spawn, the owner of the reservation should be able to "upgrade" to a claim And, of course, we all want unclaim. (unreserve fits nicely in that category)

Rob12, I did not "attack" you. You know, for your age, I thought you would do the mature thing and not post it on the forum to whine to everyone else, you could talk to me in Discord DM, or in Angeldust. The AD Forums are here for people to ask for help, recommend certain blocks or features, or get help from a moderator, or the developer to help resolve their hacked account or whatever. I thought you and I were friends. :(

@Hummm: your point 1 mentally took me to the exploit in 0.1 seconds flat. You're absolutely right. A 'reserved' status is a halfway option. I dislike it's cognitive complexity, let me brainstorm on it some more. @Stan: let's not devolve the discussion into personal attacks. We're all in this together and I believe we all try our best to get along. Rob and you are still, or can still be, friends, but as in all relationships sometimes there's a slight speed bump. A bit of mutual understanding goes a long way into reinforcing friendship.

@StanisDaMan, yes I'm sorry I posted about it in the forum but this is not the first time you have spoken that way about me. Remember the road I built in Streaming City A? You spoke to me in Angeldust you said, "Rob, why did you build a road through MY BACKYARD. I told you the same thing then as I did this time. The rules are simple and I said if you didn't like it I would remove it anyway. Yes, we are friends, that is why I don't know why you snap at me that I have violated your land. I do not use the discord server, I am not very good at social interactions. I tried to talk to you online but you left. Once again I'm sorry I posted it here, if FF thinks it could be deleted then I'm happy for him to do that and a separate thread be opened about hunting and land ownership as that is the real issue I wanted to discuss.
