Interesting twist: a player asked me to unclaim a land that is owned by a deleted account. This specific land doesn't appear to be developed much, there are no visible buildings or modifications to the terrain. It's (now*) in the center of a larger build by the requesting player—no comment on it being wonder-worthy. What to do? The potential for abuse I see is that a player can "circum-claim" an existing claim by a deleted account and ask me to then remove it. The asterisk* above denotes that I don't want to investigate the entire chronology of a build before making a decision like this. Feedback appreciated to guide the future of my moderation.

Honestly I just unclaim it. If the player deleted their account then 99% they do not care what happens to the land. More over. I think if a player deletes their account then the land probably should be unclaimed naturally by the sever, with a given month of wait time, just to be extra cautious. Just my thoughts.

I agree with Obi and Loki; account delete is insta unclaim, no wait required. There's a big difference from walking away, and requesting account delete. Further, players STILL playing should be able to unclaim themselves, (many have been asking for this for MANY years, basically ever since FF implemented claims)
