All of these are very impressive :D There's so many creative folks doing interesting things here, it's really quite amazing. I've never played a building game like this or Minecraft before (unless you count playing with Legos as a child :) ) so I've mostly been experimenting with what can be done with all the different blocks. I've been at home recovering from a surgery, so I have had waaaaay too much free time since I can't really move about, and this game has seriously been a great distraction; without it I'd be so very, very bored. I'm glad to have stumbled into it; Firefly and all the other players have been so nice and helpful, plus the daily live-streams are quite fun and I always look forward to them :) So far, I have made a rather large testing area perched on a cliff, covered in like...stuff...and things. You can see the top of a giant old-school gameboy which will be copied over as my house in the near future: http://imgur.com/7mtiIsY http://imgur.com/5JuTXLR A greenhouse hanging from the bottom: http://imgur.com/RylaFdC A small dragon design that I am currently working on a much, much larger version of: http://imgur.com/6YxtojB A torch and the entrance to where I've hollowed out the mountain my building platforms sit upon: http://imgur.com/U3D7yoQ Connected to the hollow mountain are a series of very lengthy tunnels connecting about a dozen different plots I've been building my random things on. It was pretty awesome when I was carving those out and crossed into someone else's tunnel to their tower/house thingy. What are the odds? Glad to see someone else had a similar idea: http://imgur.com/1xAFXsb http://imgur.com/Qy7krPh Also, attempting to translate the size of in game buildings to real world measurements is pretty neat. Player characters are 2 blocks tall and, to make the math simple and straightforward, we'll assume players are 6 feet tall, putting each block at 3 feet across, or 3x3x3. For reference: A Boeing 747 is about 232 feet long, or 78 blocks A football field is 360 feet, or 120 blocks A New York City block is 900 feet, or 300 blocks A kilometer is about 3280 feet, or 1093 blocks A mile is 5280 feet, or 1760 blocks So far, my test area is about 2240 feet across, or a shade over half a mile, which is probably why it takes several minutes to run from one side to the other, which honestly gets a little tiresome at times. Definitely need to start stacking stuff rather than building outward. The tunnels are a little trickier to measure because of their sheer size, but they cover the equivalent of almost 3 miles all together! :D
