Not anytime soon… user interface work is difficult and takes up a lot of time. I want to work on features for all platforms first. Maybe there's some third party key rebinding tool you can use?

If you are an elite computer user, I believe there are some files in the config directory to do that. I extended my view distance beyond the default maximum by this method. However, mere mortals will have to do with the default options.

Lol yes I also use 3rd Party Program to tweak a few controls and settings. I use JoyToKey (A free easy to use program) for my xbox controller. There are some settings you cannot override but you can tweak to your liking.

for anyone playing on steam if you open the steam big picture mode you can remap all controllers even worked with my $15 cheap Bluetooth controller. the big picture interface is a bit confusing but worth it since steam will be running anyways when you play so no need for a 3rd party app

If you are playing on Steam, there is now a controller binding system built into Steam.
