@Loki The Witful: Good job on the 'hiding' screenshots! (SodaMeow too :D) For the bomb my reasoning is that you are at a zero risk of taking damage by placing it in front of many types of creatures. With the hammer you always risk damage. I see the bomb as "infinitely overpowered" in a way. The new damage makes it worth your time while not making the wooden hammer completely obsolete. @(GM) SodaMeow: Upgrading devices is a game of chance and sometimes it indeed takes forever. Are there voices for making this fully consistent? I personally like that the webs can only be upgraded by a builder, it encourages cooperation. The scout can still place upgraded webs with a power-up, I'm sure this still works.

After my previous post I spent over a minute upgrading a turret and my wrist was numb from clicking. That's not really fun, nor can it be explained to new players by (GM)s, which was a good point by @(GM) SodaMeow. I've made device upgrades have an upper time limit and I'll roll that server update out soon. Builder will then be extremely OP, but we can reign him in later :-) (EDIT: Server update is live.)

Okay, I guess you make a very good point about the bomb damage, so I can deal with -17 since it does add the advantage of not getting constantly attacked by the creature. Changing the critical rate was not something I was expecting. Quick questions, is all hero critical rate improved, or just the builder? Side note from the earlier post: https://angeldu.st/en/forums/topics/11117/DEV%3A+WebGL+version?p=33#327 I guess the door issue could be also in the v3.35 of the game, I have to see if I can replicate the issue to test it, so far I have not been having any luck doing it, which makes me learn towards what you where saying that it is in that version.

Critical hits are unchanged; I added a new system that tracks device upgrade progress so it reliably triggers. While hammering you now either hit this natural upgrade progress goal, or a critical hit. Either way you're guaranteed to be done much faster than before :-)

In regards to the scouts net, I recall you mentioned that items can be placed closer together. like nets close to turrents...however net can't be placed next to nets. I took a look and seems nets has to have about 5 blocks apart. Also just to confirm if you have power ups the net placed is an upgraded one, and I confirm I collected 10 power ups, and I was able to put out 10 power up nets. @Firefly oh this makes a lot more sense. I ran a test yesterday to see how the hammer now acted. So far it takes about 42 hits to get a upgraded bomb which can be done in about 11 seconds if you hold the attack button. I kept track of some of the states: How many times I had to hit the item to upgrade it: 40, 16, 9, 42, 42, 40, 44, 52, 42, 41. How long it took me to upgrade a bomb by just holding the attack button: 11, 9, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 8, 12, 5, Seconds. @SodaMeow Firefly did say items can be placed closer together... as long as they are not the same type of item. Which is more than fair, it would be kinda over powering if you could place 10 web traps within the same block distance, imagine if the builder could do that with his items, 10 bombs all going off at once in the same spot... even with the old bomb damage amount he would deal 12 x 10 = 120 damage, Not even counting if he upgraded them... 24 x 10 = 240 damage... 👀😬

I realized I only posted the numbers for the regular hammer and nothing for the golden hammer, so without farther-ado... Golden hammer stats: How many times I had to hit the item to upgrade it: 21, 21, 12, 21, 21, 21, 22, 21, 20, 2. How long it took me to upgrade a bomb by just holding the attack button: 7, 6, 2, 3, 5, 6, 1, 2, 6, 7, Seconds. @Firefly. I did finally replicate the door issues, I mentioned on this topic: https://angeldu.st/en/forums/topics/11117/DEV%3A+WebGL+version?p=33#326 And I can now confirm it is also in the v3.35 as you said. So no need to worry, "you know every line of your code". 🙃 lol I also Noticed a strange shadow bug when using using the shovel. https://imgur.com/a/2PN3Yn1 So far for replicating it, need to have cinematic time set to in-game 12:00, using the shovel, looking straight or up, and a area where the shadows fall on a object, the glitch effect usually happens about one chunk away. I suspect it is the shovel handle that kinda cuts into the camera when being used that causes the glitch, I can replicate this effect by using third person view and placing my camera in a door, as well. https://imgur.com/a/OkPmO8b Sadly I suspect there is no major fix for this, only a work around?
