If the claim by the deleted account is in the middle of a Wonder, just give it to the Wonder Builder... no charge (or Firefly can delete the 2,000 coins). That way, there's no chance of a griefer sneaking in there to buy the claim before the Wonder builder does. There are a few claims on my Wonder, done by griefers, that should be transferred to me.

Somehow I missed the answers to my latest question; thanks for all your replies! I agree with the sentiment of a deleted account being abandoned, but I don't want to auto- or blanket-unclaim these. Even deleted players left a mark in the world and I can see some of their claims having actual, nice construction done in them. I want to respect their claim-permanence. In the actual case we have one, mostly-empty claim by a deleted account in the middle of an area where a player is actively building. I think it is fair to unclaim this one, so I'll postulate a new rule so that it's clear for everybody. Here's the new rule, preceded by the original rule (see post #2 in this topic): I.) Subject to my judgement I will reserve the right to unclaim lands in or near an existing or future wonders to allow the original builder to expand and/or improve their work. II.) Subject to my judgement I will reserve the right to unclaim undeveloped lands claimed by a deleted account to allow builders to expand and/or improve their work. Essential elements for rule II are that the original claim must be undeveloped ("largely empty"), that the claim is assigned to a deleted account, and that the person requesting the unclaim must show they are building something with at least some aesthetic quality (a "work") near the claim. Everyone fully on board with this new rule? @Kamikaze Justice: Sounds like you have a few claims that are covered by rule I. PM me the coordinates of the claims and I'll go take a look and potentially take action.
