A friend invited me to check out this game. It seems fun so far. However, the "informational" modal popups completely ruin the new-player experience. They interrupt gameplay to present information that is often obvious or could be learned naturally through play. At a minimum, players should have the option to disable them, or be granted full damage immunity while a popup is open. If the information is truly important enough to justify interrupting gameplay, it should be made available elsewhere in the game instead; perhaps through that lady in player housing.
