@(GM) SodaMeow: Thanks for testing! It's clear that sprites still don't show up correctly in the user interface on your device. The problem seems to have a different cause than what I tried to fix, so I'll have to invest more brainpower into this. On the topic of the inland direction disappearing… you need to be more specific. How do you 'disable' the minimap? Where does the direction disappear? Are there other things going on while this happens? Is 'webgl' affected? Is 'webgl-new' affected? Or just 'webgl-gpu'? @Loki The Witful: Water is transparent in real life too, you know! But you're right, this needs fixing.

Updated WebGL 'GPU' version: https://angeldu.st/static/webgl-gpu 1.) A new attempt to fix black dots and artifacts in user interface sprites. This is a driver/hardware bug that I have to work around without being able to test; we'll get there. Thanks to @(GM) SodaMeow for reporting this. 2.) Improved the appearance of special in-hand blocks like water, smoke and lava. Thanks to @Loki The Witful for reporting this. Known issues: A.) Sprites have color fringes where different parts meet. @(GM) SodaMeow: See my post above this one for questions I have about the minimap bug you mentioned earlier.

Hello Firefly! The mini map gets disable when you press the google glasses....in the PC that would be G, so you can see the grid. Then the direction (North-east -south -west NESW) on top of the screen disappears. https://imgur.com/aYMoot0 At first I thought that NESW was because of disable the mini map from options. But it seems even its not disabled, when press G, the NESW is not shown. Not sure its a glitch or it was intended like that. ( FYI when clicking the G to resume- the mini map does come back up). Thanks for looking into the interface bugs, does anyone else have this issue or is it just me?

@(GM) SodaMeow: The compass and directions disappearing that way is indeed intentional. When selecting the goggles, most user interface elements go invisible or become smaller so that you can take a better look at your surroundings. Even before we had a minimap this used to happen! If you want to hide the minimap while retaining other elements, use the N key to switch minimap sizes until it disappears. Or use the options menu. Were you able to test today's version of WebGL 'gpu' to see if it changes/improves the ants?

Thanks for confirming, I guess I never really notice the intention of the compass withdraw when using goggles. See learning something new even though I played here for years. heh! For the new webgl (gpu) version you posted yesterday,I still have the same issue, with the dots. Nothing has changed. I even tried on Firefox. Also I asked a player to test the new webgl on a old tablet, the screen freezes. I am not able to get a screen shot. BTW, this version (older webgl) has no issues for me. https://angeldu.st/static/webgl/

Random find, turns out the NPC mounts colours are messed up. https://imgur.com/a/y6kMNCM I did check it is only for the NPC's mounts and not the photon imitated creatures.

So while building I noticed the partial water reflections, and how it takes a few seconds to update when you move… but then I noticed when I placed a block it auto updated just like that! So logically I decided to make a photon block turn on and off rapidly fast to see if it would also have the same effect. It does!!! Note this also works in the current version of the game too, I just noticed in the webGL-GPU because the reflections are much more obvious. WebGL-GPU, normally reflections time update: https://imgur.com/a/UO7uIho WebGL-GPU, with the photons forcing the water reflections to update faster: https://imgur.com/a/EnRivT2 Speeded up effect for normal app: https://imgur.com/a/YA6YqXj Edit: No bugs just something cool I noticed and thought I would share. 🙃
