Today—October 1st, 2025—Metagaming B.V., my former Dutch limited-liability company in which I had a majority stake, has ceased to exist. All Angeldust-related assets and properties are now licensed or assigned to me personally. I've updated the terms of use (v3.1) to reflect this change. For players and community members there are no changes and Angeldust continues to operate just like before.

rip me ☠️ So far I might be guilty of: • not create buildings that aim to degrade the performance of the Angeldust game client, the Angeldust game server or the Angeldust website; This was for a build so I do not think it counts 🙃 • not excessively remove blocks and trees in the game world; • not encase players in blocks or otherwise obstruct their movement; Some might claim this one 🙃 • not pick up coins dropped by creatures you did not battle against; Well I have given out one of the old shadow betas in the Angeldust discord once. 😬 • not create, distribute or offer a protocol-compatible version of the Angeldust game server or the Angeldust game client; I might be guilty of this heh • not automate actions within the Angeldust game client or simulate interaction with the Angeldust game client; Guess I in for a ban now 🥀 nice knowing ya...

The terms of use are a very good guideline for everyone, but they're not set in stone. There is some leeway before getting banned by doing good stuff for the community. Like, sometimes it's good to test the limits of the game so I can make it better for everyone. I'd advise new players to stick to the rules (terms of use) and to get in touch with me before intentionally breaking them :-)

Due to contractual obligations related to the company reorganization I have unclaimed a set of thirty-eight lands in the game world. Most of these can be described as claim griefing when the 'Do not disturb' feature wasn't implemented yet. The lands aren't broadly accessible and only a handful of players are affected. Each player has received a private message detailing the decision. Aside from this one-time sweep my stance remains to not intervene with land claims except in the case of (potential) wonders, see the 'FYI: Wonders' forum topic: https://angeldu.st/en/forums/topics/10803/FYI+Wonders
