I’ve only tested the block for five minutes now, and that’s enough for me. The block is absolutely amazing. I hope it gets finished quickly and goes online ideally yesterday. I need it.

@ Firefly, This isn't really full use of the color blocks and I know/knew that the color lights would not work with photons. However, I have managed to make a traffic light system in the main game, I built the same thing in build alone too but with obvious limitations, like no photons or photon mimics. It uses photon mimics to change blocks from solid opaque, to glass, and those photon mimics either block or release the light from 1 of 3 colored lights. The lights are blocked on the sides by custom panels. If you were to add the "colored block" to the main game one day, I could easily add the colored sticker lights to it, at the moment it just uses 3 white sticker lights, to show how it would work. I have an intersection made up, near my HOUSE, at X4092, Y 69594 if you or anyone else wants to look at it. Apart from that, I have made numerous colored trees, a part of a blue house and some colored decorations. No screen shots yet.

Thank you all for testing and sharing screenshots—much appreciated! Behind the scenes I've also received private messages on weird bugs that exist even in current Angeldust. I'm trying to fix them all as best as I can. Regardless of the positivity I see structural issues with the colored block that make me doubt the approach. I mean, I love it and I think it is an awesome addition to the game. It evidently works really well. But I also consider interacting with colored trees to be 'weird' and the fact that you can't climb onto things you can normally climb feels wrong. As amazing as it is, the colored block isn't quite perfect. I also dislike the 255 per-slice placement limit (which isn't in the Build Alone game mode). Players shouldn't feel anxious placing blocks in Angeldust. I always aimed to make building feel stress free. So I'm brainstorming alternative approaches in the background, which will take some time. Testing remains very useful as all the player-visible parts will likely not change much. I like the looks of colored blocks and lights, that is not going to change much. @Rob12: I'll let you in on a secret! On my testing server colored lights work with photons to turn on and off. I ran out of time to compile a demo for this, and it would've been an awesome stream reveal. But I'll now first focus on reworking the underlying system. I hope a new, natural interaction for colored light toggling grows from this.

I tested a little more and want to share a few pics and of course i want to share my thoughts about the block. I think it would be amazing to see it in the game even with the limitation of 255 per-slice, it would give us a great opportunity to place accents into our buildings. I think the color block don't need to be the main used block in big buildings, i see it more as a support block for details. Just had an idea to test how the lighting looks using the cinder block colored black if it blocks all light. Here is a black box and the effect is cool. https://imgur.com/SIiaTwU https://imgur.com/i9lVXTA https://imgur.com/tnGVlsC

I have an great idea for the colour block for the paintings in the game. The colour blocks can change the frame of the paintings to red or green or purple whatever colours you imagine. It will be a good way to decorate the painting. So this can be a update for the colour block.
