How would you even know what block is what tho? And what if you have 100 photon blocks, 200 photon mimics and like 500 other wirelessly connectable things in the same claim, sounds sus to me What happens if you delete a block, does the index decrease by itself? Stay? sounds sussy coords best say I

no, no.. you're missing what I'm saying... place imitator .. instead of presenting an address that you have to remember and enter into the injector. you give the imitator a label "light switch #1" then on the injector you enter the same label ... and the injector will toggle every imitator with that label... this also allows you to span outside a single claim.. although FF may want to limit the distance to 2

Sounds like yet another UI, and you want to add it to every photon block?? Even conduits would need to have this, and photon blocks, imitators, faucets, photon mimics Sounds wrong, and extra info the server would need to store, that is only useful once and never again. As you don't need this after you're done connecting. Coords win.

good luck with your "bank of injectors" ... one per imitator. Admit it Obi, you're just WRONG.

It's most likely (99,5%) going to be coordinates for the wireless photon injector. That fits nicely with additional block picker information and makes things easy to understand. I get that having indirect addressing would open up more possibilities, but it convolutes the main use case of toggling a single light on and off, requiring setting up an address or index. Multi-block interaction can still be implemented by using a conduit as the target. This keeps photon conduits relevant while taking away the burden of having to wire entire floors, walls and ceilings.

I just watch the stream and I am so impressed with the photon mimic! And for the wireless photon conduct, this would be a really nice thing to have in the game world. All in all you have far sub surpassed my Expectations!

Firefly! I support this idea and I also thought it was really cool, it could make new ideas available for constructions. thing that would undoubtedly make a big difference, even because the construction is one of the best things about Angeldust!

Another day, another dev livestream! Tomorrow (Friday) morning I will do a quick update video on the latest photon mimic developments. Feel free to join me if you like, otherwise I will autopilot through all the cool stuff. The livestream turned into a pretty useful one-hour reference on how to use photon mimics and wireless photon injectors and removers, go watch it and let me know what you think of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdad3ZLBMLM
