@corpsehusband: Coloring the borders of paintings and drawings would be neat for sure!

Ff I noticed that the yellow block picker when you change the block the yellow colour of the block colour changes into default blue colour for a slight second fix it ff. And I also have an idea on the spray paint for scroll. You should not change the whole homo scroll in an specific colour you should change the light source that coming from the scroll keep the metalic base as default that should look cool. The spray paint is a very good item to be in the game ff.

Link to the 'spray paint' demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPOaRvhNd3I&t=7784 Someone made a casual comment about 'laying italops' on the livestream. When I woke up this morning I finally got the joke. Thank you! @corpsehusband: In the future I might release a public test for the 'spray paint' item to gather feedback on what it should do. Right now it's roughly 5% done and I'm not sure yet what the other 95% will look like. So things are bound to change a lot over the upcoming months. The block picker changing color for one frame will probably not be fixed :-)

Hey Firefly, I just watched your demo, it's totally awesome. Heaps better than the color block idea, more natural. I liked the black, the way it was, would be super awesome to use in the game. Maybe you could just change the picture frame colors, instead of the whole picture?

I just watched the spray paint demo, ABSOLUTE BANGER. I don´t know if this freature will be coming into the game, according to Firefly it is not easy to implemente. What I really enjoy about the spray paint is how practical it seems. You just select a color and boom VANDALISM. The way it seems to work now is very user friendly. One of the things that mainly worries me is making a freature work in different devices, it needs to be practical, easy to use in mobile devices as well. Firefly did just that. I absolute need to stress again how practical it seems to be. Very different from the other coloured block demo I watched. Also, having it not as a block it´s genius. Recently we had a lot of those special blocks, and it was getting kinda overwhelming. It´s good to have something different that a block now. I imagine that Firefly is just beginning, and other issues will definitely show up while developing it. An issue, problem to solve is one step closer to perfection.

New public test version: https://angeldu.st/static/webgl-spraypaint You'll need to empty your browser cache and local storage for the Angeldust website, otherwise you'll walk into invisible blocks that you placed in the old, 'colored block' testing version. NEW: 1. 'Build alone' mode spray paint item, accessible with the 'V'-key 2. in-world indicators for cell removal and spray painting 3. ^ text hint suggestions so you see colors while typing 4. also see https://angeldu.st/en/forums/topics/11569/CB?p=1#6 PLEASE CHECK: a. everything affected by coloring b. if your 'Build alone' spray painted blocks are stored correctly between sessions c. world map rendering and spray paint colors d. overall performance e. crashes in online mode (especially wonders with text signs) f. appearance of anything KNOWN ISSUES: I. can't directly place colored text signs II. can't directly place colored tailored panels III. placing trees in the online version is buggy If you want background information on the spray paint item, see these two livestream demos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPOaRvhNd3I&t=7784 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFlPt9CmJdA&t=8010

Already started testing and something I noticed off the bat is in online mod, if you go to your second and third hot bar the items you pre-assigned to it will have the tree height numbers on them, placing those items will lead to game crash, you can fix it by re-assigning the items to the hot bar slot. So far the only blocks are not causing the crash is ones that can hold data, like text sign, holo scroll, tailored panel, photon block, photon injector / photon remover, and photon mimic. https://imgur.com/a/l14YhTL Only able to test on the things I already pre-assigned to my hot bar. So far I am LOVING THE SPRAY PAINT CAN!!!, I try to test as much as I can i my busy schedule! 🤓

@Loki The Witful: I strongly suspect these messed-up item configurations stem from having used the 'colored block' demo previously. It saves its items in a different way and the new version blindly reads the data, which is entirely wrong. If you empty your local storage for the Angeldust domain it should revert to default settings and not give any problems. (But you'll lose your local builds.)
