They aren't overpowered in anyway in my opinion. It's damage output against small groups of players is pretty low. It just has loads of health. If you know what you're doing you can easily and quickly build a small roof right above it's head so that it won't be moving around everywhere so you can just stand still while hitting it. If you have one sorceress with just scouts you can all stand right next to each other as you hit it, build a small pillar 4 blocks high from the ground next to yourselves so that your sorceress can always hit the pillar with her heal staff and heal all of you at once easily.

I took out one of those on my own, it took about 15 minutes. It kept killing me.
