We were walking through the forest and somewhere along the way it turned in to savannah, only that the sceneary seems more forest-like? https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/856108485265968728/CD1A64AF96C896673DC350956615BB2234AF5B18/

This happens if the temperature at water level is high enough to consider the area a savannah, but the landscape height lowers the temperature and makes it look like a forest. The higher you are, the lower the temperature gets. That's why you see snow and other material changes on mountains. The more you know :)
