First, I would like to apologize to any player I may have come off as cold or rude to by ignoring your chat messages over the past few days. I did not mean to; I was just not feeling like my normal Loki self. Some of you are aware that I have two pet snapping turtles, Antaeus and Fontaine, and sadly Fontaine has not been doing too well. On Sunday, I put her outside to get some sunlight, which helps her feel better, and she was fine for most of the day until late afternoon. I left to feed her brother, Antaeus, and when I finished feeding him, I went back to check on her, and she had passed away. Two weeks ago, the vet told us to expect her time to come soon. She had a birth defect where the left half of her body grew not as fast as the right half. This, plus some other infections she was hatched with, was just too much for her. So I guess I should have been more prepared. I have been taking this quite hard. She was only 4, about to be 5, which is very young considering the average snapping turtle can live to be 45 in the wild and can live to be 100 in captivity. I would spend about 1 to 3 hours a day taking care of her or just hanging out with her. She was a very sweet turtle who enjoyed the outdoors, riding on her brother's shell, and resting her head in my hand while I gently scratched her chin. I also would like to thank most of the Angeldust community who were unaware of the situation and were unintentionally there for me. My condolences for your pet, Fontaine. IMO, all turtles go to Heaven, so she's enjoying Paradise as I type this. It sounds like you were a great friend to her.

Hey Loki-the Witful! Please don't apologize for your feelings and not being normal...I think not normal is normal in these situations. If anything as a comfort, Fontaine had the best owner in the world and you saved them when they hatched. So already you given them the best! @Rob12 sorry to hear about your lost too. Take care guys!

Thanks for all the kind words, she was a great friend, I felt like I could freely talk about anything with her. My condolences to you Rob12 never seems to gets easier losing a pet. I know I do not say this often or at all but SodaMeow you are a true gem to this community, and it is a honored to know you. I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read or respond, I was originally not going to say anything but then someone reminded me that it can help to talk with some friends or just share what happened. I do have to admit posting this topic actually helped me way more than I thought it would. You guys are truly the best. ❤️
