After months of hard work I proudly present the first public version of Angeldust v4.0 Beta for Windows, macOS and Linux. It's available as a "do it yourself" download at Itch.io: https://metagaming.itch.io/angeldust Angeldust v4.0 Beta brings graphical improvements and also updates core libraries and frameworks for improved compatibility and performance on newer computer systems. See the included README.txt for details on system requirements and installation. Please share your testing feedback on this version in this forum topic. Let me know areas where I can improve it. Include your operating system and system specifications if you can, so I can have a better view of compatibility issues. I will try to regularly release updates to the Angeldust v4.x Beta branch to make everything as good as possible for the eventual, official release. Thanks in advance for testing!

Known issues that I'm working on: – some dynamic geometry, like doors and holo scrolls, lack proper surface normals – 3D sprites rendered in the 2D user interface, like the player hero on the sign-in form, don't use the new rendering path – user interface lines are drawn using incorrect colors (in 2D) and appear very thin (in both 2D and 3D) – sky dome reflections are supported, but not yet enabled – water shading is very basic

Bump. I've just pushed Angeldust v4.2 Beta to Itch.io: https://metagaming.itch.io/angeldust This brings full material definitions to in-game entities and fixes the appearance of glowing, metallic materials. I'll showcase this version on the livestreams from hereon out.

This is my first time installing the 4.2 beta and the water is clear!? Is this the future of water or am I missing something?

Angeldust v4.3 Beta is available now: https://metagaming.itch.io/angeldust This version introduces: – advanced shading for water and natural ice – improved shading and lighting for 3D sprites in the 2D user interface – smoother vertex normals for natural materials – dynamic vertex normals for holo symbols – a bug fix for the 'saddle mode' menu option resetting on launch
