I really like the nest that spawn randomly as someone who grinds now and again. It brings some element of surprises, like I found a nest of pink creatures before, so I really don't want that to go away. But I get it can be annoying for builders, I was helping a player killing creatures that kept spawning whilst they were trying to build. Maybe all builders need a AI grinder that can just open up and shoot anything within distance. Or as obi mentioned, no spawns within a certain parameter of a claim and can be operated from the lands claim part of the website. In the meantime, I guess best to claim as much land as possible so there is less spawn.

I also think this game is no different; every time I build something, it takes just as much time as Minecraft. The problem is my home Wi-Fi is laggy, even though the Wi-Fi is strong, and I'm playing alone—nobody else is playing. I know the version Features include a 60 fps display, 120 smiley face buttons, and a hide-and-seek function. 🗿

Yeah especially the higher level areas where you cannot go in to your build first. I have to fight them or I get killed, and then only I had to enter my builds. It would be great where the creatures cannot able to enter the claimed lands. But if you want to kill them you need to go out of your claim lands to fight them not just simply standing there and killing the creatures like it's a trap. Pls FF make this as an update.

@ Moniq, I understand that you don't want to claim another 1000 claims. However there are other things you can do, like Loki the Witful said, put down a heap of turrets, kill them all, take the gold and use it to buy more claims. I am a builder too, obviously, I have also built a lot of roads. I have come across your situation numerous times before. Even in my latest wonder build I had to fight off creatures from my highway. What I did was, cut all the trees first with my builder, and if I was attacked, lay turrets. Then come back and build everything with the soldier, or the scout!

@ Obi, I haven't said it yet. But, my reason for not changing it, is exactly what you think builders wouldn't like. I DO like the fighting off creatures while building, it is a part of the game. If I toil away fighting off creatures to build stuff, it gives me a greater sense of satisfaction that I beat the creatures and won. I feel like an early pioneer, defying the environment, to pioneer a new route through dangerous territory. Heck I even named an area I put a road through 512 level, chaos lands, "The badlands", because if you step one foot off that road you will get eaten alive. However if people want a bland boring experience when building, it might be ok for them. But, I would feel like they cheated, or took the easy way out. I play other block building games, and always have to fight the creatures in them as well.

100% with @Rob12 I know one of the many joys I had when I first started playing was building a fort and sorta role playing with my brother and sister, we shout stuff like, “We have to repair the wall!” Or “TROLL RAID!!!” It was fun having to deal with the surprises attacks. I also really like the tales of the land. I can’t ever forget my first encounter with a hydra, it was back when I first joined and was building with my brother and sister, when a hydra showed up with a few dragons and we thought it was a full on raid, and after killing all the dragons we focused on the hydra, but when we thought we won it cam back with 2 more heads! Major jump scare and, we almost called a retreat! Back to our main castle which was not too far off from our village. Such great memories.

Yes, while building, there are definitely times when many creatures spawn around you, which interrupts building and slows down your progress. That said, I think saying it takes up 50% of your game time is a bit of an exaggeration. Instead, I'd like to suggest something called Builder Focus. This mode would only be available to the Builder hero. It could be activated from the Builder's telecharger, but only while you're standing in your own claimed land or on land where you have permission to build. When Builder Focus is enabled, creature spawning would gradually decrease around the player instead of stopping instantly. Existing creatures could simply wander away or disappear naturally over time, so it doesn't feel abrupt. This is somewhat similar to the previously suggested no-spawn zone around 3×3 claimed lands, but instead of being tied to land itself, it would be centered on the player. As the builder moves around their build area, creatures would stop spawning within a certain radius around them, making long building sessions much less disruptive. The best part is that this would be entirely optional. Players who enjoy the current gameplay can simply leave Builder Focus turned off and continue interacting with creatures just as they do now, preserving the game's original gameplay and atmosphere. Builder Focus would only be there for players who want uninterrupted building sessions. If needed, a small visual effect (similar to the one used during Hide and Seek) could indicate that Builder Focus is active.

Builder focus mode is not a half bad idea, but instead of decreasing spawn of creatures it should just make the creatures ignore you. Only reason I am saying this instead of decreasing the spawn rate, is because if another player is in the area the creatures would spawn the same amount, having them ignore the one in builder focus mode seems to work better.

@Moniq: Do you want to share the other games you play so I can take a look at them to see how they handle this problem? You can send me a PM if that's more comfortable. And are there any ideas in this thread so far that would help you?
