So I was working on one of my builds yesterday / today and I noticed that the photon mimics on the mini-map have small chance not to update when the chunks load in or when you place them, the funny thing is they are loaded in on the regular map. I did a small test and I noticed notice it does not like to render the most recent placed photon mimics, it will update if you remove a photon mimic or place another but it will be one photon mimic update behind. You can place another block by them to force the mini-map to update but this is besides the point. Still not sure about why it does not load them if you first load a chunk, I can't show picture for it is in my build and I do not want to give it out to much. Thanks for the ping Firefly. I was aware of changes to the Web GL map and development of the mini map feature. I had not really checked it out thoroughly though, until now. I found the controls to resize or close the mini map, quite easily, and I think that control is definitely required, in case one wants to build without the map being in the view, and resizing is great! I then went to Equatoria and the spaceport, to check out the mini maps clarity and I thought that everything looked quite nice. My thoughts on the whole mini map are: It is a great addition to the game, especially for hunting, exploring and pvp. It will, and probably does already, add a new level of game play, like having a scanner of sorts. Then when the mini map is not required or desired, it can simply be hidden from view. The map details themselves are pretty good the way they are now, I like the effects on glass too.

minimap and map could share the same map? when i open the map it seems to reload the map already loaded in the minimap. theres the possibility i am being an idiot

not worth the trouble, i think most people can wait the 5 seconds it takes to load the 5x5 claims you would gain if the map used the minimap

@ritpop: With a whole lot of effort and engineering some parts of the map data could be shared, but as @obi- points out the benefits don't outweigh the effort at the moment.

Updated WebGL version: https://angeldu.st/static/webgl 1.) Fixed preview rotation of the text sign and tailored panel when placed on a table with a liquid and a solid block next to it. Thanks to @Mr Monkey and @Loki The Witful for finding and reporting this. 2.) Allowing uppercase and mixed case letters in emoji shortcodes, so you can type :sMiLe: and it works! 😃 3.) Tailored panels with dimensions 1,5 x 2 now tile as 1x1 (instead of 1x2) for regular and column cap textures.
